Pai Defence is hiring an Investor Relations & Fundraising Manager to own the company’s capital-raising function: building investor-facing materials, running fundraising outreach, coordinating due diligence, and managing ongoing investor reporting. This is a newly created position reporting directly to the CEO, with significant ownership from day one and room to grow into a senior IR/corporate development role as the company scales.
Key Responsibilities
Investment Materials & Data Room
- Build and maintain the seed-round data room: market sizing, competitive landscape analysis, and revenue projections
- Write investment memos that translate technical and operational detail into a clear, compelling case for investors
- Keep the data room current as the business evolves, so it’s always ready for the next investor conversation without a scramble
Fundraising Strategy & Execution
- Build a target list of funds and investors aligned with Pai Defence’s stage, sector, and geography
- Run structured, high-volume outreach and manage the resulting pipeline from first contact to term sheet
- Represent the company in investor calls and diligence queues, fielding questions on the product and business directly
- Assess which prospective investors are a genuine strategic fit versus a poor use of time, and prioritize accordingly
Due Diligence Coordination
- Once a term sheet is signed, coordinate the due diligence process across finance, legal, and product — chasing down documents, not producing them yourself
- Own the timeline end to end and flag risks to the CEO before they become delays
- Keep investors informed and the process moving without letting anything fall through the cracks
Investor Relations & Reporting
- Prepare quarterly investor updates, pulling together management accounts and key metrics into a clear narrative
- Track how Pai Defence’s positioning is evolving and flag early what needs to change to stay investable for the next round
Requirements
- 2-5 years of experience in venture capital, investment banking, startup finance/operations, or a related analyst role
- C1+ spoken and written English
- Strong written communication skills — comfortable writing memos and materials for a financial audience
- Highly organized, self-directed, and comfortable owning a process with minimal oversight
- Working familiarity with startup fundraising mechanics (cap tables, SAFEs/ASAs, term sheets, due diligence processes)
- Genuine motivation in Ukraine’s defence technology sector
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior fundraising or corporate development experience in defence, hardware, or deep tech
- Existing familiarity with the European or transatlantic defence tech investment landscape
- Experience working across international or multi-entity teams
