DK NEJET is a Ukrainian—Latvian software-driven defense-tech group designing and manufacturing autonomous next-generation FPV drone systems for modern warfare. Our cost-effective solutions span both air-to-ground and air-to-air (interceptor) domains, addressing the full spectrum of modern battlefield needs.
With a team of over 100 people, we operate from two locations — Kyiv and Riga — each hosting an R&D center and a production site, along with key functions such as sales, marketing, HR, and finance.
We are looking for a Embedded Linux Engineer to join our R&D team and contribute to the development of next-generation embedded platforms for unmanned systems and defense technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Development and customization of Embedded Linux distributions (Buildroot, Yocto)
- Adding support for new hardware components to existing operating systems (BSP, Device Tree)
- Development and modification of Linux kernel drivers
- Integration of middleware and configuration of bootloaders (U-Boot, Barebox)
- Performance optimization and resource consumption reduction
- Working with embedded peripherals and interfaces (SPI, I2C, UART, CAN, etc.)
- Collaboration with hardware engineers and QA teams
Experience & Skills:
- 5+ years of experience in embedded software development, including 3+ years with Embedded Linux
- Strong knowledge of Linux kernel architecture, file systems, U-Boot, RootFS, and BusyBox
- Experience working with ARM-based platforms, Device Tree, and udev
- Proficiency in C/C++, Python, and Shell scripting
- Experience with cross-compilation, Git, and Make
- Knowledge of networking protocols, including TCP/IP and RTP/RTSP
- Hands-on experience with interfaces such as I2C, SPI, UART, USB, Ethernet, HDMI, and MIPI
- Experience integrating sensors, controllers, accelerometers, and other embedded devices
